Recently, I’ve read a few books that center around a main female and male character. Yes, I’ve become addicted to adult romance novels. They’re cheezy, but good to read if you don’t want to think about the real world for a while.
The first was A Lost Touch of Magic by Amy Tolnich
This is your basic story of Man loves woman, but thinks he is no worthy of woman, so woman think man hates her.It gets annoying after a while, because the reader knows how the pair feel about each other, and up until the end they do not realize it themselves. The rest of the story makes up for it though. Along with the steamy sex.
The Man, Padrurig, is the Lord of a clan in Scotland. His sister was murdered, and he feels responsible for her death so he has banished himself away from his kin. When his sister’s ghost appears to him and tells him he must return, he does just that.
Aimili, the woman, is the daughter of the lord that Padrurig needs aid from in order to take back his home. Her father names only one price for his aid; that Padrurig marry Aimili.
Thus begins the whole, not-having-sex-because-you’re-innocent thing.
Well, as it turns out, Aimili can talk to animals because she had fey blood. And there is a secret passage to Paroseea, a land of perfection in everyway. But, of course, something goes wrong
And the queen of Paroseea needs the help of Aimili and Padrurig to save them.
It’s a really good story though, at least, I enjoyed it. I give it a three out of five, and I haven’t read the rest of the series yet.
