Shiver

Currently Listening - The Ocean (Sun Version) by: The Bravery

On a whim, I got Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, from the library at school while I was waiting a tudor Thursday.

I stayed up until one this morning to finish reading it. It was that good.

Does that tell you anything? I'm trying to convince my mom to take me to the bookstore this weekend to buy the sequel, Linger.

So in a town called Mercy Falls, there is a pack of wolves. Werewolves, but not the average change-with-the-moon wolves. They change with winter, becoming human again in the spring.

Sam, is one of these wolves. He watched Grace from the wood behind her house, just as she watched him. Grace is obsessed with the wolves, and has taken to calling Sam Her wolf.

Anyway, Sam has never talked to Grace, until this winter.

After the "death" of one of Mercy Falls' students, party's are gathering to hunt down the wolves. Sam is shot and changes back into a human on Grace's doorstep.

In short, this is a story of a young couple in love, with some supernatural thrill thrown in the mix.

Now I know that this sounds lame, but it's different from the other teen romance novels that I've read. I can't seem to put my finger on the reason though.

I don't want to ruin to much, but this is a definite must read for anyone who enjoys supernatural fiction.

You can see to book trailers made by Maggie herself on the book website. - http://www.maggiestiefvater.com/shiver/index.php

and checkout extras on Maggie Stiefater's official site - http://www.maggiestiefvater.com/

My mother's boyfriend is taking us to the mall Friday, so I'll be able to get the sequel.
